About Us

The Orange County Curling Club was founded in 2010 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation. As of May 2024, we curl out of the Lakewood Ice facility in Lakewood, CA. We are affiliated with the Mountain Pacific Curling Association (MoPac) and the United States Curling Association (or USA Curling).

Our Mission

The Orange County Curling Club's mission is to promote the sport of curling while building an inclusive community that welcomes participants of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. We are dedicated to providing accessible recreational opportunities that foster physical wellness, social connection, and personal growth through this unique Olympic sport.

Our organization serves as Orange County's gateway to curling, offering comprehensive programming from beginner instruction to competitive leagues. We prioritize inclusivity through inter-generational activities that bring families together, youth development initiatives that build character and teamwork, and adaptive programs for individuals with disabilities.

Beyond sport, we cultivate community partnerships, volunteer leadership, and civic engagement. Our vision extends to creating Orange County's premier curling facility—a welcoming space where diverse communities gather, learn, and thrive together. Through curling's distinctive culture of sportsmanship and camaraderie, we strengthen social bonds and contribute to Orange County's vibrant recreational landscape.
