There are many different ways you can get involved with the club and start curling!
After a learn to curl session, you are eligible to join the club's main curling league. You can grab a few of your friends and join as a team, or you can join as an individual and the club will match you with a team looking for players. This is a great way to get involved with the club and meet some new people. Most club members start this way and develop friendships and curling teams!
After a learn to curl session, you are eligible to join the Instructional curling league. The Instructional league is generally shorter in duration than the main league (4 weeks instead of 9) and the sessions start with about 15-20 minutes of instruction on skills or strategy, followed by a game (usually 5-6 ends, depending on time). This league is a good way to polish your curling skills before entering the main league or trying out the sport without committing to a full season. Registration is for individuals, but you can grab a few of your friends and form a team, or you can join as an individual and the club will match you with a team looking for players. Many main league players have come through an Instructional league.

Drop-In curling is basically a pick-up game. You can sign up through the website and you will be placed on a team randomly. These games are very fun and no-stress so they are a great way to work on your skills or to learn more about strategy. Most of the time there are experienced players there to mentor and guide you, so don't feel shy asking for help or comments!
Every week there are teams in need of sub players, so putting yourself on the sub list is a great way to play with different teams and learn a lot about the game. Every team welcomes new players and there is no stigma attached to being a brand new curler (we were all there ourselves). Sub sign ups are on a first-response basis, so when the sub email comes out, all you need to do is reply that you are interested and if you are the first one, you're on!
