The OCCC sent its first ever Senior Mens team to compete in the United States Senior Men's Curling Association Championships in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Rink Millar, which also included lead Dad Waddington, second Bob Krause, and vice Gordon Harder, left beautiful sunny So Cal to land in snowy Wisconsin. Their first opponent was a strong local team from the Blackhawk Curling Club. Next, they drew a team from the Detroit Curling Club. Their final match was against another local team from Kettle-Morraine, Wisconsin. While Ken and the boys curled progressively better each game, they didn't qualify for the semi-finals, and their trip was done after three games. Still, they held true to Orange County's customs of making an impact on the curling world. In the midst of some strong teams from traditional curling areas, Rink Millar was heralded as the team to travel the furthest to compete, and surprised many by exposing California as a place where curling is enjoyed. They even made the news in the area, as you'll see in the following video. Congrats to our Senior Men's Team by being the first to represent our club, and for having a memorable curling trip!
