Welcome to the coolest sport on ice!

The official website for the Orange County Curling Club – The first, and only, Curling Club in Orange County. Started in January of 2010, we are a fun and friendly club that welcomes players of all skill levels. With the support of Westminster ICE, we hope to keep the sport thriving for years to come in the Orange County area.
 
Curling is a team sport for all ages and abilities. The object of the game is for two teams of four players to slide 42 lb granite rocks down a sheet of ice toward the "House". A unique aspect of the sport is the concept of sweeping. Players vigorously sweep or brush the ice in front of the rock to keep it moving. The friction caused by sweeping polishes and briefly heats the surface of the ice, which makes the rocks travel farther and straighter.

In Da House are the champions!

In Da House have captured the championship for the Spring 2013 league.
 


Their run for the championship started with a come-from-behind win, by dropping a 5-ender on their opponents, to win the semi-final game and continued with a win in the finals.
