What’s not to love about curling? Think about ice, 42 pound granite stones, brooms and strategy, and of course the “broom-stacking” after parties! It’s not called “Chess on Ice” for nothing!
The Orange County Curling Club invites you to join us on March 25th, for an Open House where you can learn about the sport, the local club, and if you want to try throwing and sweeping some rocks yourself you can take the Learn to Curl and sign-up here.
The Learn to Curl is a great introduction to the Olympic sport of curling. The instruction lasts approximately 2 ½ hours and is designed to introduce people to the basics of the sport. You’ll get both on and off ice instruction and have a chance to practice the skills you learn in a pick-up game. After you’ve had some time on the ice, you’ll go back to the "warm room" for the "4-S's" – a wrap-up on scoring, strategy, some snacks and socializing!
Curling is adaptable to people with a wide range of physical abilities and limitations. The Rinks Westminster Ice is home to The OC Curling Club and is a wheelchair friendly venue. We welcome the opportunity to expose you to one of the fastest growing sports in America.
