New Learn-to-Curl 2.0

These classes are for those who have attended a Learn to Curl, but haven't yet played in a game, or as a substitute in our Curling League.

Each session will be limited to 8 students. Instructors will teach a variety of topics depending on the students needs. Topics include:

  • Balance
  • Pre-Shot Routine
  • Team Dynamics
  • Equipment
  • In Turn/Out Turn of the Stone
  • The Playing Surface
  • Sweeping
  • Basic Strategy
  • Free Guard Zone Rule
  • Game Flow
  • Difference between the “Draw” and “Take Out” Shot.

After a brief 30 minutes of instruction on one of the topics, students will be divided into two, four person teams, and play a 6 End Curling match.  Our instructors will be there to help with the finer points of the game and to advise on strategy.

Each session lasts approximately two hours. So If you came out to a Learn to Curl, but are a bit nervous about trying it out during league play, Give this a shot!!
